This paragraph is really nice:

(6.61) It is an error to say that science is based on facts whereas philosophy is based on
ideas. The latter is based on facts too. In fact it starts with the fact observed by science,
but carries its inquiry deeper. Therefore when the scientist wants to go more deeply into
the meaning of his own facts he becomes a philosopher, automatically, merely by deeper
reflection. Science merges into philosophy ultimately and there is no other way for

I think this statement is absolutely true. To quote an incident, when Vivekananda attended
the Chicago conference and talked about Vedanta, he declared that every animate and inanimate
object has divinity within. During the same Scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose conducted experiment
on plants and found the same true. So definitely science and spirituality, if not religion, goes hand
in hand in many cases. Advaita's mayavata is a classic example / case for scientific studies.

I have already downloaded this work and other works of V.Subrahmanya Iyer from a site related to Paul Brunton few months back and very much enjoyed reading it . He uses excellent rational reasoning in presenting his thoughts . The works of V.S.Iyer are a must for anyone interested in serious study of Advaita .
