Have a photo on your smartphone that you want to print? LG thinks that you need the Pocket Photo PD233 mobile printer. (Image source: LG.)
LG has just launched the LG Pocket Photo (PD233/P), a smart mobile printer measuring just 72 x 120 x 24mm, and which tips the scale at 215g. Using it is simple: just install a free app on your Android or iOS smartphone, connect to the printer wirelessly, and start printing. Besides Bluetooth wireless connectivity, the printer also supports NFC, and uses Zink’s inkless printing technology which touts longer image longevity and lesser smearing compared to conventional printing methods. Furthermore, the resulting printout measures 5.1 x 7.6cm (that is, 2 x 3-inch), which is perfect for sharing and displaying. A fully charged Pocket Photo can print up to 20 photos.
In addition, the Pocket Photo app is loaded with features. For example, you can perform quick touch-ups (including cropping and coloring), insert text, choose a frame, apply a filter, and even embed QR codes for linking people to other online content.
The Pocket Photo is available now in silver and pink at Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Harvey Norman, selected NTUC branches, and other LG authorised retailers at S$199.00. A 30-sheet Zink Media Photo Paper pack costs S$15.00.
