Kanakabishekam

My grandfather has completed 90 years this July. We would like to perform Kanakabishekam for him. We would like to perform the same in a very grand celebration.

I would like to know what are all the Rituals, Pujas have to be performed and what are the items to be purchased (Apart from Puja items) to make the function very effective.

Also throw some light on the importance of Kanakbishekam.

Further My grandmother is no more.

one may do kanakabhishekam after seeing his son's grand son. details are there in plenty. kindly see sathabhishekam and in page no 11 in the same thread for shastiaptha poorthy and in other pager bhima ratha shahnthi.I have given detailed information. The same is for kanakaabhishekam also. I am also in coimbatore. please feel free to ask for doubts.
