Is the topic rationalism? The actor became famous by espousing that!

[h=1]Kamal Haasan to speak at Harvard University[/h]TNN | Jan 10, 2016, 12.00 AM IST

Kamal Haasan has been invited as one of the key speakers at the India Conference 2016, at the Harvard University. The conference, which focuses on the topic India in 'Transition — Opportunities and Challenges', is scheduled for Feb 6-7, and will be hosted at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School by the graduate students of Harvard.

Perhaps the first South Indian actor to speak at the prestigious Harvard University, Kamal is set to address the audience on February 6. His keynote address will be on India's Softpower. There are other Indians who will also be speaking at the conference including Shashi Tharoor, Nirupama Rao, Preetha Reddy and Chanda Kochhar.

Kamal is shooting for Rajeev Kumar's untitled movie in the US currently, and as per sources, as the Harvard website, he has confirmed his presence at the summit. The actor also shared a link to Harvard site announcing his participation on social media. Interestingly, his profile on this site describes him as a 'revered actor, director' and goes on to say, "He is also a prolific writer of fiction and non-fiction in Tamil and his published work is testament to his constant exploration of structure and form. A rationalist in thought, a moderate in opinion and a humanist in philosophy, he has converted his fan clubs into welfare organisations that work on education, cancer and organ donation drives."

Subramaniya Swamy worked in Harvard university as a professor;
P.Chidambaram studied there;
Kamal has an opportunity to deliver a lecture, there.
All the three, are unique personalities!

Once Lalu Yadav was invited to deliver lecture, when he was Railway Minister.

Some Hindi Actors were also invited to speak. Hence, it is neither a big thing nor a reason to jump from the roof top.
