KBs movies are basically dramas .He converted his Dramas to Movies . There are some exceptions to this but mostly they are dramas shot as Movies .

But that was just one movie isnt it?..that movie got re-made into Hindi too and it did not cause any anti Brahmin sentiment up North. So why does every action and reaction in TN only have to cause Dravid Vs Brahmin phenomenon? Why cant a movie been seen only as a movie..after all many Tamil movies have touched about prostitution too.

What has his personal life got to do with that movie?

We had gullible public who believed what is said in a movie & this guy in the name of social engineering or drama created this just to make money... I do not have personal respect for such a person

He was an artiste and he showed his art effectively whatever be his theme or conception. He remained to date what he was from the beginning. Glamour did not attract him in spite being in the glamour field. He wanted to be in white pant,white shirt and black frame of glasses to the cremating furnace. The industry revers him.

OMG RR JI.....i hated that film...I still remember seeing it in the Cinema with my parents....I think it had Prathap Pothen and I distinctly remember a scene where a frustrated Prathap who could not get the girl gives a gold chain to a beggar and calls him "Lucky Bugg*r".

The beggar stares in disbelief.


But overall I disliked the movie...its too slow moving.

I like fast paced dialogue with masala and great songs.

Dear TBS Garu,

In the South Indian movie industry in the 80's I used to like Rajini and Kamal especially Rajini cos his movies are entertaining and 'safe' to watch with family.

Kamal as he grew older some movies were too heavy drama..so I only watched his comedy movies..heavy duty movies like Hey Ram,Devar Magan etc..I did not see.

I liked Aboorva Sagotharagal partly becos the glamour element was well displayed by Gauthami.

These days Tamil movie heroes I like Vikram cos he is sexy and I like Anniyan cos Remo and Anniyan character was too good..that movie had everything..glamour and great acting.

Hindi movies I did not like any 70's hero that much cos all of them looked very effeminate especially the Kapoor males. I did not like Amitabh too cos he looked as if he had Marfan syndrome...Gangly looking.

Thank God the newer Kapoor males have 6 packs and look good..Ranbir Kapoor has taken his mum looks!(Thank God).

SRK is my all time favorite.

These days all heroes of North and South are sporting 6 packs..so at least there is some eye candy.

Heroines are getting more beautiful and super model like. I love Deepika Padukone.

BTW I also like Vijay...his movies are fun and entertaining with good dancing and punch dialogue.

Also I like high budget movies where actors looked clean and good...most of the reality art movies make the actors look so messy and untidy.

just info....i used to see movies in the 70s and 80s....i never saw a movie after a gap of 20 yrs.....after 90s...i stopped

watching movies.....i used to watch malayalam/tamil/telugu/kannnada/hindi movies in my childhood...i never want to

watch 3 hours waste time in front of tv/theatre....even i rarely watch tvs...just for news time...

This past few days the TV channel here is showing KB's movies non stop...Sindhu Bhairavai..Azhagan etc..

It seems that some movies have females drooling after the same male!LOL

BTW its only in Tamil movies we see female proposing to males and telling them I Love you and Please marry me..even before the male can decide if he loves her or not.

Anyway I think its the fantasy of some males that they want females drooling after them!LOL

In real life I think that never happens ..so knowing this KB must have made movies to keep males happy at least in fantasy land!LOL

I can understand..as we age our attention span becomes less..that is why many shift to Porn...Its does not take 3 hours.
