[FONT=&quot]Avaniapuram near Vandavasi is a Narasimhar temple where nine Narasimahars are present like Ahobilam and is called “Dakshina Ahobilam”. ‘Avani’ meaning ‘Lion’ and the unique significance here is the presence of Thayar also with a lioness face. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]There is an amazing natural rock formation of a lion perfectly formed with eyes, beard, face etc.,. More interestingly, there is also a sage sitting below the lion in a meditative posture with the jadamudi, eyes, nose, hands in a bowing pose listening to somebody etc., all in a rock. This is an interesting rock formation indeed. But, what is truly amazing is the pattern matching ability of human brain.
