AAP is a very ephemeral phenomenon in Indian Politics. Kejriwal has, for now, delivered on two of AAP's election promises—water and power. In my view, the power thing seems to be alright provided the Delhi government is rich enough to give the subsidy, but the water item is Tuglak-like. My own feeling is that the Aam Aadmi of India may look upon AAP and Kejriwal as something like the Garuda and Vishnu seated thereon as Narasimha who will wipe out the last paisa of corruption from India.
But the pity is that the very same Aam Aadmi will soon find his/her life to be hell in the absence of corruption, bribes, middlemen, etc., because a very sizeable percentage of our people (aam aadmi as well as khaas aadmi log) are not law-abiding always and want the "system" to favour them unduly in one thing or the other. Hence, AAP may secure about 70 to 100 seats at the maximum in 2014 elections and will end up with its broom being controlled by Congress as it has happened in Delhi.
