Intuition vs Experimentation

Belief in ones views can come through conviction of mind or through testing the views in the real world. I prefer the former route as there can be no better confirmation than that through intuition. Conviction of mind is the best form of evidence. But an objection which one may raise is that others also need to believe. That is really not a problem in my view because if there an excellent and coherent logic in a view, it will have compelling effect on everyone. The only reason it would not be accepted is because of prejudice that it is another's view.

Perfect logic speaks eloquently for itself and I would say that most of ancient Indian systems were based on beautiful subtle logic unlike the complicated nature of current scientific theories. Now, it is even believed the more complicated your theory is, the better it is.

Things cannot be more diametrically opposite to ancient India than it is now. Hoping they will take a turn for the better at least in India.

Intuition is unique to each individual so it has its own vagaries. If you imagine a snake on a rope, no one else can see it. The illusion is removed by another person when they remove the rope.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS OUR BRAIN CAN OUTSMART US. FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT OUR BRAIN IS VERY SMART, AND WE ARE JUST PUPPETS IN SOME CASES

Experimentation is repeatable and can be duplicated at any time and place. So it is verifiable.

Because:
“Intuition is used to frame choices, not to make them.”
So don’t deride intuition as a crutch for the weak-minded or lazy. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson’s character from “A Few Good Men,” we need intuition up on that wall. Think about it: what is intuition anyway? Intuition is what we know, but we can’t prove how we know. In “Blink” terms, it’s what happens behind the curtain of consciousness.
In fact, the relationship between intuition and experiments is essential and time-honored. Science writer Steven Johnson extolls the virtues of “slow hunches” … that nagging intuition that contradicts what we’ve been taught, but seems to be true. Hunches and intuition are the grist of virtually every experiment in recorded history. From Galileo to Edison to … maybe you. That’s why we need intuition up on that wall.

I am talking of intuition that is really good. Along with it comes the unmistakable conviction of the correctness of the intuition and the logic to convince others.

Only by Intuition Indians in earlier years found and expressed various things in Vedas which Modern science by experiments confirms.

Its not intuition alone.
Its the Art of Knowing where one develops insight which enhances their pre existing observation.

Thats what Modern science only confirms what has been said thousands of years ago by our Rishis and sages in vedas, They have accurately said the distance between earth and sun, moon and celestial bodies. Modern science is only confirming this.

Yes, but the Rishis too had their acquired scientific knowledge coupled with their insight of Art of knowing and worked on their theories.
Many think Rishis just closed their eyes and saw everything.
It wont be that way cos even Gita says "Shraddhvan labhate jnaanam"(the one who strives gains knowledge)

so they would have made effort to research, study etc and then gained insight to finer details.

Its true, Close your eyes and if you have good intuition it works. True knowledge comes flowing.
