Information required on theettu

Hi All, my husband’s Chiththappa son passed away yesterday. He was 58 years old and not married.

Do we have 10 days or 3 days theettu. Should we not celebrate the festivities for the whole year.

1. Our son and daughter in law stay in a different city. Can they celebrate festivals.
2. Can we go to temples other than hill temples and kula deivam temple
3. Can we do archanai and abhishekam
4. We are planning to do a grahapravesham during oct, nov. can we go ahead.

Where ever they are , they are also having ten days theetu, you all should not go to temple for one year and should not do archanai and abhishekam. you ma do grahapravesam in oct.or november. if your father is not alive now you have to do kuzhi tharpanam on tenth day. if your father is alive he has to do kuzhi tharpanam .

I am not disputing but asking for knowledge sake so that I can guide younger generations in future.

You have mentioned that one should not go to temples for one year. But are we not going to temple on 13th day.,Shubham…

10 days ashoucham for you and son even if they are in different city or country.

1.No festivals for one year.
2,3. You can go to temples and pray but no abhishekam, Archana or visiting hill temples or kula deivam temple.
4. Simply do the milk boil and move if you want to. After varushabdikam you can do Homam.
