Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis continued their domination in the women’s doubles by winning the US Open crown, their second Grand Slam of the season, after a crushing victory over Casey Dellacqua and Yaroslava Shvedova, here on Sunday.
Martina Hingis and Leander Paes once again proved to be a potent partnership as the Swiss-Indo duo captured their third mixed doubles title of the year with victory at the US Open on Friday.
The Hindutva brigade would rather celebrate Martina Hingis rather than Sania (a Muslim) or Leander (A Goan Christian), a sad state of affairs.
