Indian families becoming smaller, but still biggest among major economies

The average Indian family used to have more than five members in the 1980s. Today, it’s slightly smaller, but even then it’s twice as large as the average French or British family...

In India maintaining small families by all groups is quite impossible, since it involves Religion, besides change of demography which ultimately leads to aggression.
