[h=1]'Help Delhi Breathe': Capital residents rally to demand clean air[/h]An event to spread awareness about pollution levels in the capital brings out hundreds in support.

Delhi's much-debated odd-even trial ended on Friday. Though the 15-day pollution-control experiment to allow cars with odd-numbered licence plates to ply on one day, and those with even numbers on the next, did little to improve Delhi’s air quality, it was widely acknowledged to be a valiant effort to find a solution to the horrendous problem.

Making use of this momentum, several groups decided to organise an event called “Help Delhi Breathe” at Jantar Mantar in central Delhi to raise awareness about the situation and to push for measures to mitigate it.

Awareness is aroused when danger level exceeds!

It is a problem to be addressed to, by all right thinking people involving everybody.

There are many in delhi who are permanent rallyists.

They look for causes on a daily basis and some get paid for it.

Today it is clean air. tomorrow stopping ink attacks on politicians.

delhi is the rally town

No action is going to work unless and untill neighbour hood industrial units are shifted away from Delhi. Emissions from these units influence Delhi's air quality a lot. Any one seriously thinking to clean Delhi's air, needs to attend this first.

It is reported by Daily mail that it is a first of its kind event with 500-1000 Delhiites taking part which includes Doctors, Lawyers, Scientific experts and activists on the subject like Anumita Roychowdhury from Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), Vikrant Tongad from SAFE, Parthaa Bosu from Clean Air Asia, Sunil Dahiya (Greenpeace India) and Dr. Randeep Guleria (AIIMS).

Besides, it was also reported that artistes and troupes like Shilpa Rao, Delhi Drum Circle and Astitva will perform at the venue to help raise awareness.

Whereas our arm chair Advisor, incidentally who also happens to be a permanent resident of Delhi, casually remarked that there are many in Delhi who are permanent rallyists to organise and participate in such a rally. And Delhi is a rally town.

His casual remarks speaks volume about his concern on the subject ‘Delhi’s dirty air. Not so fair’.

Speak about delhi air and collect an ink pot with ink.

New scheme floated in delhi.

All are going to ration shops to collect free inkpots with ink.

So there is much demand for ink at Delhi warranting launching of new scheme.

For some at Dellhi, they need not go anywhere to collect the free ink, perhaps it will be smeared in their deserving face. lol
