Dear Prakash, deep condolences for your mothers demise, but life moves on, i understand that you would not be in a right mindframe to celebrate the new home but still a hearty congratulations for your new home.

I am sorry to hear about your mother's death. The following appeared in a Q & A part of a newspaper. I am not sure whether the same is applicable for performing Gruhapravesam after mother's death, though.
