In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first
witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and
asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?" She responded, "Why, yes, I do know
you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've
been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you
manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a
big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to
anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the
room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a
youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't
build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the
worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three
different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him".

The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench, and, in a very quiet
voice, said,

"If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the
electric chair."[/FONT]

I was told a joke by one of my friends, in Tamil.

Teacher asks the student - Who wrote Thirukkural?

Student - I wrote them saar.

Teacher gets angry, beats up the boy and asks him to bring his father to him, the next day.

Teacher says to student's father - Listen, your son says that he wrote Thirukkural. I got angry and batted him up.

Father of the student - Oh!! I see. Only now I could realize what my son used to do secretly for a long time, hiding things from me. So, this is what he was writing? I will make sure that he don't write such things in future.

Needless to say, the teacher got mad.

After few days, the teacher asks the same student - Who was the reason for breaking Parshuram's bow?

Student - No Saar, certainly not me. At least this time you can trust me. I am telling the truth.

On this the teacher again goes out of his mind out of anger, scolds the student and starts beating him. He asks the student to bring his father again to him, the next day.

Teacher to the student's father - What is this?? Your son says that he didn't break Parshuram's bow. What's wrong with him? Why he tells such things?

Father of the student - Sir, what is this? Why are you this way? If my son accepts doing something you beat him. If he deny doing something also you beat him and call upon me every time. Please stop this nonsense now onwards. Don't torture me and my son any more.

The teacher fainted.
