Grahapravesam can be done later??

This month (May 2011), I purchased newly constructed individual house.
1. I am in singapore, can I do GRAHAPRAVESAM next year?
2. Can I rent out before doing GRAHAPRAVESAM?

Dear Babu Grahappravesam is done not for the function part of it but has an important sinificance.The main purpose is to drive out evil effects since the construction materiaals used could be those used in dilipated structures. That is why various hamams are done like GANAPATHY .VASTHU, NAVAGRAHA SUDARSANA ,DANVANTRI HOMAMS. It is not advisable to renyt it out before gp. fINd out if u can come for afew days .,say 1 week .perform gp & rent it out,After all a house is a property aquired for us & prosterity & leave ono chance for any mishappenings.

Gruhapravesam

Dear Sir,
Your doubt was correct and the reply by Mr. Malli was equally good.
The main reason for performing Gruhapravesam and all related Homas are only to satisfy Vaastu.
Before starting construction we have to make vaastu to give way and bless us for safe and trouble free / good construction. Few days are marked in our Panjangam and Calendars that Vaastu eluppum Naal or Vaastu elundulla naal.
We make Bhoomi Pooja on these days and start construction.
After construction , on the day of Gruhapravesam we make several Homas including Homa for Vaastu. It is nothing but Thanks giving to Vaastu.
