I see the posts of nkrishna100 to be most interesting. thank you sir
dravidian movement is more than half century old
it has been nurtured thru hard grass root level work at the lowest levels
it has got entrenched with inter mediate castes grabbing power
if a challenge is to be posed to them, , I tend to agree with nkrishnaji that bjp should be prepared for the long haul
to be considered as an alternative to dravidian parties.
they require a good working cadre part of which RSS can provide. they require stalwarts from intermediate castes
to join them in large numbers besides upper castes ,sc/st communities. they have to get the caste combinations right
in terms of numbers and percentages. Modi charisma needs to be backed by local talent and leadership which only
existing disgruntled leaders of existing parties can provide.
results of kashmir elections are showing that hindu polarisation is driving away other religeous minorities away from
bjp. bjp is essentially a hindu party backed by RSS cadre. with its agenda of promoting hindi, sanskrit it is causing
revulsion in tamils. Add to it its refusal to support the cause of srilankan tamils and tamil fishermen is not endearing
them to tamils in tamilnadu.
if it wants to come to power , it has to get its act together to .extend its appeal to a wider spectrum of people.
in a land full of temples, ramjanma bhoomi or ayodhya or ganges does not strike a chord. Cauvery waters, dam
issues with neighbouring states are of concern to them
the existing govt is feeding the people with various freebies and welfare measures.
no one is exactly dying to vote for bjp in tamilnadu
