Shankaracharyas multiply, so do legal tangles

But it is estimated that over 50 seers have proclaimed themselves as shankaracharyas of various peeths, although exact numbers are hard to come by. Disputes and litigation are ongoing in many.

Another sadhu Trikal Bhawanta Saraswati, a woman seer, who claims to be shankaracharya of Gayatri Triveni Prayag Peeth, said male sadhus were biased and not giving the shankaracharya's post to females.

We Indians are highly capable of picking up dispute in any thing and everything. Religion now a days is highly lucarative for making quick bucks. No wonder more and more people are attracted towards it. Funny part is everyone wants to head some sort of sect so that they command a big influence. Only God can save our selves!!
