Hi, My family name is "Kelampazham" and my gothra is "Varampala udaiyan". I just went through one of the post and found Gothras of Shivali brahmins has names of fruits/animals etc. I am curious to know about my roots too. Not able to find answers for the below:
1) What does "Kelampazham" means?(what fruit is that)... Varampala Udaiyan - who is this
2) Do we have any connection with Shivali brahmins
3) We worship Shiva. But after seeing the post,am little confused, whether we are vaishnas
4) We presently stay in Kumbakonam. Is this our original placeor migrated from other place.
Please note that all these questions are out of my curiousity to know about my roots and nothing else.
