A birthday poem dedicated to my daughter
On the occasion of her birthday​

In all our life through the end
We never earn, but ever spend
Be it the rich or Be it the poor
Time is ever an expenditure..

Some Lock cash; Some Lock gold
Some lock land or whatever they hold
Lock even blood, egg or sperm
Can someone lock up their own time..?

Water that flows in a farm land
Serves the weed and the plant
Dripping it in right roots makes great sense
Focused expenditures are investments!!

I know you have a lot to do
College, books, courses to go through..
Assignments, exams and projects too
Phones, Laptops, Tabs ever connect you..

Facebook, whats-app, Tweets and what not
Your fingers are busy typing a lot..
As we get connected more and more
Watching what others do also becomes a chore..

Time is the water flowing in your land
Feeding into actions whatever you plan..
Dripping it in right roots makes great sense
Focused expenditures are investments..
