England captain Alastair Cook became the youngest batsman to score 10,000 Test runs, breaking the record previously held by Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Thanks to his unbeaten 47, Cook became the 12th batsman and the first Englishman to reach the 10,000 mark in history to reach the landmark.

He became the youngest to do so at 31 years and 157 days old, beating the previous record of Tendulkar, who accomplished the feat when he was 31 years and 326 days old.

Records are meant to be broken. It is really a good achievement, taking into account the country he represents.
