As per press reports, Congress is trying to make a tie-up in Bengal, with the number political enemy in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi is exploring the possibility of alliance with the Left parties to fight the might of Mamta Banerjee in West Bengal. The Congress’ predicament over forming an alliance with Left parties in West Bengal while contesting them in Kerala may find a solution when party vice-president Rahul Gandhi begins his Kerala poll campaign on February 9 at the conclusion of the ruling party’s ‘Jana Raksha Yatra’ .Gandhi, who will be on a two-day visit, will seek the views of party leaders on the possibility of an alliance to defeat the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal where Congress leaders have been pushing for a tie-up with the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The congress in Kerala is finds the going extremely tough after series of corruption charges against almost all of the top leadership in the state the Bar and the Solar scams taking the lead.

That is going to a tough call for Congress! A tie up with Left now in Bengal for Assembly elections may be a dry run for the next Lok Sabha elections in 2019!

They may say that "nobody is a permanent enemy and nobody is a permanent friend".

Politics is a game
/ business of opportunists.

It might be good move.

Kerala UDF has got tainted.Anyway they are suffering anti incumbency

It is practical politics to join hands with Left in bengal for better performance.

Similarly congress can align with DMK if possible.

I think such disgusting politics happens only in Kerala. Both the fronts (UDF & LDF) are competing how to outshine each other in field of corruption. Only for the same of coming in to power both of them are prepared to befriend smaller parties which are totally against their ideologies( if at all they have one!!)

BJP is making inroads in Kerala! Let us see how they perform in the elections! Even a couple of seats would motivate the Right!
