Indian voters are well on their way topolitical maturity to vote a aprty into power or to vote out it out of power as performance is the yardstick. Money and muscle power have not deterred the voters . Will the trend continue?

Dear Vasumathi,

seen this trend many times even in any elections in any country...the Key word is CHANGE

We humans always want change..even if it was RAM RAJYA we will still find some flaws and want a change.

Politics is very dynamic and keeps mutating..

Its simple its like this..Its for the People by the People and of the People

But no one really bothered to define what exactly is PEOPLE?
So as the saying goes..Bahuda Vadanti..call it in many ways.

True, the political acumen of common people should not be under estimated. Interestingly when the voters Tamil Nadu change the Government they do it decisively. If Ms. J.Jayalalitha gives good Governance, they may give her a chance again to continue, as in Bihar, Gujarat and Chattisgarh.

I was just wondering..the Ocean of Compassion(Karunanithi) must be wondering which university the public got their degree from as not to vote him.

Once upon a time he was wondering which university Lord Rama got his degree from to construct a bridge.

Well............. may be the same University.

Well said, But when Tsunami strikes, there is no time to ask for its origin. This people's Tsunami surged across Tamil Nadu and flushed out all the Nidhis and Selvams with vengeance and gave compulsory retirement to "Thalaivar".

I for one would not call the voters as intelligent. By saying so I am not trying to offend them because they are still voters. If JJ was removed for pompous living by MK, has she become a saint? The same way MK was defeated many times but returned equal number of times. Every time, they have upped their own records. The dynamics of democracy replaces one "fed up" group by another starving one. What you and I get is only spinoffs. Either you have to be a politician or just chant "Ram", "Ram".

Tamil Nadu voters are intelligent enough not to be swayed by the freebies offered to repeat the same mistake of voting the family outfit of corrupt Politicians to power and allow them to plunder the state exchequer for five more years. Let us see whether the alternative has changed in the five years of hibernation. Otherwise history will repeat itself.
