Can someone highlight on the norms to be observed before undertaking to chant the above mantra

Sir this manthra is the essence of 700 Devi Mahathmegam slokams
Procedure as advised by "Anna" in page319 of his book Devi MaKATHMEGAM
Light a Kothu Villaku on Kollametta Palakai. Decorate it with Kumkumam and flowers. Then do Avaganam of Devi on the lamp
Do 21 Pradashnam to the lamp. Than chant each stanza 3 times. End the pooja with Navidyam of Chikari Pongal or variety rice or fruits. The chanting can be done daily or once in a week. Pl refer to the book which is available in Ramakrishna Madam or Giri Traders Mylapore.
