Two weeks have gone by since demonetisation of Rs 500/- and Rs 1000/- was made.
It has to be conceded that while Rs 2000/- was made available due to non- available of smaller denominations to replace the 86% of the notes in circulation, countrymen without plastic money are facing challenges.
Moot point is similar to Rs 2000/- , RBI could have opted to have Rs200/- (Rupees Two hundred ) also printed along with Rs 2000/- . Reasons are unknown or perhaps this option has not been suggested by any one . And secrecy could have been very well achieved similar to Rs 2000/-
While it is now too late to implement, this should be a point of consideration for any government in the world.. To quickly replace with an alternate currency value to the complete extent in multiple denominations....
