Does State Curb Creativity?

Yes, the environment for creativity is very important. The state, the country, and the world impact creativity. In India, 50 years ago, creativity was stunted by the overgrown bureaucracy. People were leaving the country in droves, but found the right environment to grow in foreign lands.

But now in India, the environment has changed. Now creativity is encouraged, and people are thriving. Some states do better than others. The South and the West are progressing faster than the rest of the country.

Suppression can take many forms.

In USA artist are loosing to Business that control the airwaves. Big business are strifling anti government views. CBS is cancelleing shows that criticizes Trump politics.

Similarly NDTV was critical of Modi government. Adani bought it and now they do not cricize government.
