Cochin Devaswom to recurit 54 non-Brahmin priests

This will cause the death knell to whatever is left of Brahminism! Are all Hindu communities in Kerala supporting this? Why the Government is doing it forcefully?

Cochin Devaswom to recurit 54 non-Brahmin priests

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, October 27, 2018 23:24 IST

The Cochin Devaswom Board (CDB) is appointing 54 non-Brahmin priests, including seven from those belonging to the Scheduled Castes.
The Devaswom Recruitment Board has prepared the rank list after conducting a test and interview similar to those at the Public Service Commission.
Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran said in a release here on Saturday that the rank list was prepared giving due weightage to merit and reservation.

Tell me what you want..what you really really want?

Do you really want the truth, do You? because you can not handle the truth.

<br>

Truth is Truth..it wont change if someone handles it or not..
Cos I have a suggestion to this " problem"..

If an inert object can be Prana Pratisthafied and a deity invoked or Brahman invoked or Aham externalized...so if anyone has a problem with a priest from any community...may be a ritual can be done on the same lines of Prana Pratishta and change the Varna of the person tru.a process called Varna Parivartana ca Purohit Prastishta.

I cant handle truth?LOL

Kerala Govt. has indirectly given an opportunity for Brahmins to move away from this traditional and hereditary job.

Brahmins can perform well in any job or assignment.

Many medieval era texts discuss Upanayana in the context of three varnas (caste, class) — Brahmins, Kshtreyas and Vaishyas. Several texts such as Sushruta Sutrasthana, however, also include Sudras entering schools and the formal education process, stating that the Upanayana samskara was open to everyone. The Baudhayana Grihya sutra in verses 2.5.8 and 2.5.9 states the teacher to "[l]et him initiate [to school through Upanayana] a Brahmin in spring, a Kshatriya in summer, a Vaishya in autumn, a Sudra in the rainy season; or all of them in the spring.

Will the NB priests perform the rituals in malayalam or use sanskrit ?. Will they be bare top and sweat less than brahmin priests?[This is for keeping RRji satisfied]

hi

atleast they should not be like TOPLESS MAMA....LOL

LOL!

Raji madam will be happy!

But Northern Indian priests are always covered out here in Msia.
They dont go topless.
They even wear shawls covering their chest and neck over their kurta top.
May be its colder in North India so priests cover up.

But if a priest is a 6 pack ..i wont mind if he is topless cos the darshan would be divine!

Topless has different reactions altogether.

Can a topless man create any sensation or sexual urge? Even a slight change of position of a sari or half sari can totally change the environment.

Being topless at least for some time spent inside a temple is a rare freedom to have as we otherwise go out fully dressed, unlike our forefathers. It is just like walking barefooted in the road, simple but a unique experience.

It gets even better in the Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram, where you can't carry your shirt inside the temple. Walking topless in the vast prakaaram gives a "special" feeling.

Yes...a topless man can create a sensation if another male fancies him.
Or if he looks like a Greek God and women would swoon like how girls scream in a frenzy seeing their favorite movie stars.

So men too better cover up.

Vinashakaale vipareeda budhi

विनाश काले विपरीत बुद्धि

Just pasting original text so that correct pronunciation is obtained.

vinAsha kAle viparIta buddhi.

Meaning..at the time of destruction or when doom nears..ones intellect works in reverse direction ..meaning that ones intellect works againsts us.

viparIta means reverse direction.

I thought I would just help out for those who might not be well versed in Sanskrit.

I guess the mind has reverse gears too!

Both are not possible.

How many male will get tempted if they happen to see a topless man? Probably very negligible.

Looking like a Greek God is beyond imagination.

If you are gay you would understand!

Greek Gods do walk the earth..focus next time.

But Gays and Lesbos are not a major force. They are minuscule.

Minorities have lesser role to play except religious minorities in India.
