Instead of judging ancient text with today's value, we should fight against today's evil.
This is fine example of war against today's evil.
"Five brave girls from West Bengal, described by President Pratibha Patil as icons, are becoming agents of change and inspiring other young girls in the fight against child marriages.Afsana Khatun, Bina Kalindi, Mukti Majhi, Sangita Bauri and Sunita Mahato hit the headlines by fighting off pressure from their families and calling off their marriages in order to continue studies."

A community of people in Rajastan are resisting any change in child marriages. A serial on 'Colours' "Balika Vadhu" is dedicated against the old practice and depicts perils in the practice. Once upon a time, say at least 100 years or about the practice was prevalent in all communities. If not the logic, the lure of money and modern life-style, will change the system. Then it was right and now that is not. If women become real equal to men, the world will be a blissful place.

You are not up to date I think! :)
Now women are MORE equal then men!
They have more job opportunities.
They earn more salary.
They get more marks in all the exams.
In the future we will have house-husbands and working wives.
Mark my words! :high5:

The female of any species is deadlier than the male.
I have seen it, felt and know it to be true.
The women will grow louder, bolder, noisier,
and free from inhibitions if this trend continues....

Yes, the half is not just half, but a bigger half because they are better half! The times will equalize it perhaps.
