[h=1]It is such little drops that makes ocean…[/h][h=1]Chennai boy gives PM money to clean Ganga[/h]Chennai: This Chennai boy's heart beats for the river Ganga. G Shashank of Madipakkam, who won Rs 1,000 in a competition, sent his prize money towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ganga cleaning mission and got a reply from the PMO.

In his handwritten letter, Shashank says that he loves to do "natural works". He identifies Ganga as the "religious river of our country" and so we have to maintain it.

In the letter, written neatly on a foolscap paper with pen, the 10-year-old elaborates that he had won the first prize in the IMCT competition that was organised by the A M Jain College in Chennai.

It was a competition in devotional Sanskrit, titled, 'Sri Saraswathi Prarthanai'. He also stated that he had won the first prize in the devotional competition the last time when it was held and he was in class three.

The boy is a student of DAV School in Adambakkam. He also thanked his teachers, "books and subjects" for their guidance. He informs that he does not use plastic and polythene bags so as to preserve nature.

P K Bali, Under Secretary in the Prime Minister's Offfice, replied to Shashank, saying that "The Prime Minister appreciates his thoughtful gesture."
