Brahmajnaanam

Jayendra Saraswati, the Kanchi Acharya, said in his gita pravachanam in Sankara TV (Saturdays night) some weeks ago that during sleep we withdraw our panchendriyams from outer world. so, he said those who can sleep without difficulty, duringthe day or night, will attain brahmajnaanam easily. I am feeling happy after hearing that. I sleep 10 to 12 hours daily!

I don't know if what i understood is correct and also if some others also heard that.

Dear Sarmaji,
There are three states for all living beings - waking, dreaming and sleeping ( jagrat,
swapnam and sushupti ). If you have time and inclination you can go thru' Mandukya
upanishad wherein you find the correct explanation. Bhagawan Ramana used to
refer to these three states quite often, and it would be fascinating to read his
talks.
