The government is packed with literate and highly educated and qualified pack of wise people who have now come out with the following research in our country :

Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and his team of wise people have drawn the poverty line as :

Rs 25 for rural areas and Rs 32 for urban areas per capita expenditure

Well this sounds interesting for the people sitting and cooling themselves in the Parliament.

Why do these wise literate heads living in metro cities not shift their bases to the rural areas?

This is The Same Foolish Thing done by The Central Govt at all times.

While fixing Revision of pay for Central Govt employees, The govt deploys ex Chief Judges to analyze the recommendations.

These judges Travels in AC Cars,Office in AC Rooms, enjoy all sorts of benefits, etc, etc granted by The Govt and scribbles some nonsense and submit their recommendations for the Fixation of Next Pay Commission.

The Govt thereby Cheats its employees .

For example the Cost of one sovereign (Pown - 8 gms of gold) during 1960 is less than the Bottom most Central Govt employees.

But now it had Gone up to 20000/- where as The Class Four employee's wages are less than Rs 10,000/-.

At the same time Salary of M.P's were raised more than 100 times.

Dear Sri Padmanabhan, (Post#1) They have forgotten to add zeros after 25 and 32. Sitting in an A.C. room one can say that the sun is not hot at all. Natpushpa.

Dear Sri Sankara Narayanan, Well said. You have forgotten to mention the amount of pension to the MLAs & MPs just for about 5 years of their tenure. Natpushpa.

I believe the Media did not explain this well.

Montek Ahuwalia has said that the Planning Commission has accepted the Tandulker Commission's Recommendations on Federal Poverty Line:

Which is, a person making less than Rs.4800 per month will be considered under the FPL.... this will be Rs. 160 per day..

From where this Rs.32 or Rs. 25 per day came from is a mystery to me...

I have a Thread on this in Politics & Current Affairs....please see details there.

Dispute on figures apart, have you ever seen a minister or MP or MLA or even
a councillor standing in a 'q' to buy his ration ? Have you seen them in the
veg.market or provision stores ?

They do not know what poverty is. They live like kings surrounded by gangsters
and thugs. They live on corruption in kind and in cash.

They collect rent , do not pay any. They sell goods at high prices in association
with the traders and businessmen, they do not buy any.

Do they know the price of rice, dhall, oil etc ?

Unless one knows the correct cost of living, he cant fix the poverty line.

There is a Proverb in Mechanical Dept. " Use The Right Tool For The Right Job".

Congress appoints Chief Judges to analyze These Things. What all Judges Says Cannot be accepted as Justice.

The Govt must appoint Social Workers, leading Press reporters,Trade Unionists etc for Labor related matters.

These all are Mockery of The Govt's Anti People activities.
