The following news item appeared in The Hindu dated Oct 28, 2014:
Officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Dept. on Monday night handed over the assets of Lord Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram to Podhu Dikshitars as follows:
Hundial collections, including Rs.3.30 cr. bank deposits.
330 gms. of gold and golden articles
1458 gms. of silver articles
By this the Dept. has completed the formalities of restoring the full administration rights of the Temple to Podhu Dikshitars, as per Supreme Court order.
