Air Pollution in Delhi

As usual, the Indian administrations are found wanting.....the alarming situation needs drastic solution.

1. Complete moratarium on all vehicles, factory emissions for 1 week except emergencies. Shutdown everything, allow the existing pollution to come down - it will dissipate due to natural weather pattern. So people can breathe some what better air.

2. All Delhi vehicle owners should exchange their 2 and 4 wheelers with electric scooters and cars immediately. These existing petrol and diesel vehicles can be sold to the people in other nearby states. Automakers and acessories companies to convert petrol bunks into charging stations on warfooting,

AQI of Delhi is now between 100 to 200. Great work folks!

Let us now focus to bring the figure below 100 all over India.

Of course, there are cities we need to worry more about AQI......

India Today Data Intelligence Unit (DIU) analysed the AQI bulletin provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and found that Delhi, in fact, does not feature among the 10 most polluted cities of India.

Over the last few days, Delhiites are having a tough time breathing. With thick smog in the air, the Capital has practically converted to a gas chamber. On Monday, however, there was a slight improvement in pollution levels with the Air Quality Index (AQI) dipping from 'severe' (400+) to 'unhealthy' (150-200).

India Today Data Intelligence Unit (DIU) analysed the AQI bulletin provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and found that Delhi, in fact, does not feature among the 10 most polluted cities of India.

The average AQI calculated for 24 hours (November 3, 4 pm to November 4, 4 pm) showed that Jind in Haryana had the most toxic air among 97 cities analysed. Jind's average AQI was 448. Delhi's average AQI was 407.

Sympathize with all delhites, volunteer organisers should form a committee and plan strategies for future, such as have a mass tree planting drive. Nurseries get going and start increasing sapplings. Schools, universities, join hands with nurseries and plan areas where more sapplings can be planted. Hope my suggestion helps
