AFMC MBBS Admissions 2015
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, was established in 1948 for post graduate courses. A graduate wing for MBBS course was started in AFMC on 04th Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services
The AFMC is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India
Admission to MBBS Course 2015 at AFMC Pune will be based on the merit of All India Pre Medical/Pre Dental Examination AIPMT 2015 to be conducted by CBSE on 04th May 2015
Eligibility candidates who are interested to join AFMC Pune, to pursue the MBBS course will have to mandatory appear for the AIPMT 2015 examination to be conducted by CBSE and should have ticked n the option for AFMC and also apply online to AFMC Pune on the websites Welcome to Armed Forces Medical College / www.afmc.dg1d.gov.in
The short listed candidates will be required to appear for a second stage Screening conducted by AFMC
AFMC 2015 MBBS Course Duration
The duration of MBBS course is 4 ½ years followed by compulsory rotating internship training of one year. All the medical cadets with service liability undergo internship training in selected service hospitals recognised by the Medical Council of India
Course commences on 01st August 2015
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate seeking admission to the MBBS course in AFMC is eligible if he/she fulfills the following criteria
A candidate should be citizen of India
The candidate may be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India
Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted into AFMC only after they have acquired Indian citizenship or in respect of whom a certificate of eligibility is issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs
Must be unmarried
AFMC 2015 MBBS Age Limit
The age of 17 years on 31st December, 2015 but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date (must have been born not earlier than 01st January, 1994 and not later than 31st December, 1999) for 10+2 or equivalent
Must not have attained the age of 24 years (must have been born not earlier than 01st January, 1992) for passed B.Sc examination or appearing in final B.Sc examination
Academic Qualifications for Admission to AFMC 2015 MBBS Course
Candidates must have passed one of the following qualifying examinations in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard
These are:
The Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent exam in Science of a statutory Indian University/board or other recognized exam body with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology which shall include practical test in all of these science subjects
The Pre-professional/Pre-Medical Exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (after passing either Higher Secondary School Exam or pre-University or equivalent exam) which shall include practical test in these science subjects
1st year of three years Degree course of a recognised University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in Science subjects provided the exam is a University Exam
Sr.Secondary of a statutory Exam Board of Indian School Certificate Exam of 12 years of study, last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at higher level
Any other exam which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Higher Secondary Science/Pre-Professional/Pre-medical Exam of Indian University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these Science subjects
B.Sc Exam of a recognized Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc Examination in not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and further that he/she has passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
Candidate’s who have appeared or will be appearing in qualifying exam up to 01st May, 2015 may also apply; admission, if selected, however, will be subject to passing and meeting the eligibility criteria
The following categories of candidates are not eligible to apply for APMC Pune Admission 2015:
a) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science/Social studies in High School/Higher Secondary (Multipurpose) or equivalent exam
b) Candidates who have passed only Pre-University/Pre-Degree (one year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture/Veterinary/Dental Exam
c) Candidates who have passed the Pre-professional or equivalent qualifying exam as a Private candidate or from Open schools
d) Candidates who have secured the requisite percentage but in subsequent attempts or compartment exam
AFMC 2015 Reservation:
10 seats out of 130 are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC/ST
In addition to the above 130 seats, Govt of India at its discretion through Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Defence may sponsor and select foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC, under their aid/collaboration programmes
AFMC MBBS Selection Method
Eligible candidates who are interested to join AFMC Pune, to pursue the MBBS course will have to mandatorily appear for the AIPMT - 2015 examination to be conducted by CBSE and should have ticked on the option for AFMC
However, in case a candidate had failed to tick on the option for AFMC, he/she may still apply online if eligible
The AIPMT - 2015 roll number is essential for being recognized for admission to AFMC Pune and shall be required at all stages of admission process
Candidates who are appearing in the AIPMT-2015 examination will have to register and apply online to AFMC Pune on the website Welcome to Armed Forces Medical College, or Armed Forces Medical College, Government Of India with the AIPMT - 2015 roll number
On the declaration of the results, AFMC Pune will draw merit from amongst the candidates who have applied to AFMC Pune and also appeared for the AIPMT-2015 examination
It is reiterated that the qualifying marks would be 50th percentile
Candidates who have secured lesser marks/lower than 50th percentile will not be considered for admission to AFMC Pune
AFMC 2015 Interview of Shortlisted Candidates
The shortlisted candidates in order of online registration numbers will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and Psychological assessment cum Interview to be held in the month of June/July at AFMC 2015 at AFMC, Pune
Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) will be in the form of CBT (Computer Based Test) consisting of 40 MCQs of 2.0 marks each amounting to a maximum of 80 marks and will be held at AFMC Pune
There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer
These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes
The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to AIPMT-2015 score (max of 720) to get a score out of 800
This will be divided by 4 to get the written examination score out of 200
The interview will consist of 50 marks; the final merit will be based on the Final score thus obtained (Written examination score + Interview marks)
No enquiries on telephone / fax regarding results will be entertained by office of DGAFMS New Delhi or AFMC Pune

AFMC 2015 Application Fee Payment
a) Visit the nearest State Bank of India Bank branch on the next day i.e. one day after generation of challan or any day till the last day of payment at bank.(Example: If you have have generated your challan from the website on 30th April 2015, you can visit your nearest SBI bank branch on 01st May 2015 or any day till last day of payment, to make the payment of Rs.250/- (Application + Bank charges).
The last date for submission of online application is 18th May 2015 and the last date for generation of challan from your login account is 22nd May 2015
Last day for payment and depositing the challan at any SBI bank branch will be 26th May 2015
b) At the Bank: Carry the printout of the challan to your nearest branch of State Bank of India; the window clerk shall verify your registration details including name from the printed challan and then enter your payment
A journal number will be generated by the bank and this will be written/ stamped on both copies of the bank challan; the bank shall retain the bank copy while candidate shall be given the student copy
c) Ensure that the journal number is written on the student copy along with the seal of the bank. (Please keep a copy of this safely as this will be your proof for having paid the application charges and bank fees)

மொத்தமுள்ள 130 இடங்களில் 105 இடம் மாணவர்களும், 25 இடம் மாணவிகளும் சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள். இந்திய குடிமக்கள் மட்டுமே இந்தக் கல்வி நிறுவனத்தில் சேர விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.
விண்ணப்பதாரர்களுக்கு திருமணம் ஆகி இருக்கக்கூடாது. படிப்புக் காலத்திலும் மாணவர்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளக்கூடாது. இங்கு படிக்கச் சேரும் மாணவர்கள் விடுதியில் தங்கியிருந்துதான் படிக்க வேண்டும். மாணவர்களுக்கும் மாணவிகளுக்கும் தனித்தனி தங்கும் விடுதி வசதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
+2 வகுப்பில் இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், இயிற்பியல் பாடங்களில் சராசரியாக 60 சதவிகித மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். அதேசமயம் மூன்று பாடங்களிலும் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் 50 சதவிகிதத்துக்குக் குறையாத மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். ஆங்கிலத்தில் 50 சதவிகிதத்திற்கு குறையாத மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். இந்த ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 31 ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி 17 வயது பூர்த்தியடைந்து முதல் தடவையிலேயே +2 தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.

நாட்டில் உள்ள முக்கிய மருத்துவக் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் முக்கியமானது புனேயில் உள்ள ஏ.எஃப்.எம்.சி என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ராணுவ மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி. இந்த கல்லூரியில் சேர்க்கை கிடைத்து விட்டால் போதும். கட்டணம் எதுவும் இல்லாலும், கல்லூரி விடுமுறையில் ரயிலில் மூன்றாம் வகுப்பு குளிர்சாதனப் பெட்டியில் சொந்த ஊருக்குச் சென்று வரவும், புத்தகங்கள் வாங்குவதற்கு ரூ.12 ஆயிரம், யூனிபார்ம் வாங்குவதற்காக முதல் ஆண்டில் ரூ.6 ஆயிரம், அடுத்த ஆண்டு உடைகள் பராமரிப்பதற்காக ஆண்டுக்கு ரூ.1,250, முடி வெட்ட மாதம் ரூ.100 வழங்கப்படும். இதுபோன்று மாணவர்களுக்கு தேவையான பல்வேறு சலுகைகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
இங்கு பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு படிப்பு முடித்த பின்பு இந்திய ராணுவத்தில் நிரந்தரம் அல்லது குறுகியகாலப் பணியில் மருத்துவராக பணியாற்றலாம்.
மகாராஷ்ட்ரா யுனிவர்சிட்டி ஆஃப் ஹெல்த் சயின்சஸ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்துடன் இணைக்கப்பட்ட இந்தக் கல்லூரியில் இந்தக் கல்வி ஆண்டுக்கான எம்பிபிஎஸ் சேர்க்கை நடைபெறுகிறது.
மொத்தமுள்ள 130 இடங்களில் 105 இடம் மாணவர்களும், 25 இடம் மாணவிகளும் சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள். இந்திய குடிமக்கள் மட்டுமே இந்தக் கல்வி நிறுவனத்தில் சேர விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.
+2 வகுப்பில் இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், இயிற்பியல் பாடங்களில் சராசரியாக 60 சதவிகித மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். அதேசமயம் மூன்று பாடங்களிலும் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் 50 சதவிகிதத்துக்குக் குறையாத மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். ஆங்கிலத்தில் 50 சதவிகிதத்திற்கு குறையாத மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். இந்த ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 31 ஆம் தேதி நிலவரப்படி 17 வயது பூர்த்தியடைந்து முதல் தடவையிலேயே +2 தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.
இந்தக் கல்லூரியில் சேர விரும்பும் மாணவர்கள், மருத்துவப் படிப்புகளில் மாணவர்களைச் சேர்ப்பதற்கா அகில இந்திய அளவில் மத்திய செகண்டரி கல்வி போர்டு (சிபிஎஸ்இ) நடத்தும் (AIPMT) நுழைவுத் தேர்வை எழுதி இருக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம். மேலும் ராணுவ மருத்துவக் கல்லூரிக்கும் தனியாக விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
ராணுவ மருத்துவக் கல்லூரிக்கும் விண்ணப்பித்து, அகில இந்திய மருத்துவ பொது நுழைவுத் தேர்வையும் எழுதியுள்ள மாணவர்களில் தகுதியுடைய மாணவர்கள், மற்றொரு எழுத்துத் தேர்வு மற்றும் நேர்காணலுக்கு அழைக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
இப்படிப்பில் சேர விரும்பும் மாணவர்கள் ஆன்லைன் மூலமாக மட்டுமே விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணம் ரூ.250. இதனை பாரத ஸ்டேட் வங்கியில் செலுத்த வேண்டும்.
எந்தவிதச் செலவுமின்றி இலவசமாக எம்பிபிஎஸ் படிக்க விரும்பும் மாணவர்கள், அதாவது ஏற்கனவே அகில இந்திய மருத்துவ நுழைவுத் தேர்வை எழுதியுள்ள மாணவர்கள் ராணுவ மருத்துவக் கல்லூரியில் சேருவதற்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
