My sister’s daughter is getting married on 20 November 2026. Sumangali Praathana and Swami samaradhanai are scheduled on 15 November 2026 and 17 November 2026. Suddenly, two days back, on 06 Oct 2026, my sister’s sister-in-law expired (i.e bride’s father’s sister expired). My sister’s family believe that they have to observe taint (theetu) for 3 days. My sister’s family also believe that the marriage function can proceed as scheduled on 20 November 2026. However their dilemma is can Sumangali Praathana and Swami samaradhanai be performed as scheduled or are they to be postponed? Are their understading correct and if yes, can anyone clarify on Sumangali Praathana and Swami samaradhanai?
