A question about metals

I read somewhere that gold, silver are royal metals meant for kshatriyas and vaishyas and only copper, it's alloys are good to use for Brahmins, according to science Copper and it's alloys are antimcrobial, while silver exhibits germicidal effect only when it's wet or moist, so do Brahmins need to wear copper stuff on body to keep negative energies at bay, apart from doing Gayatri Mantra, wearing janivara, wearing rudraksha etc

Beliefs have no reason. If you believe it, it is right for you, it may be.
Give all your gold and I will give you an equal weight in copper. Both of us will be happy.

Maybe in the olden days, brahmins could not afford Gold so they satisfied or fooled themselves into accepting that copper is a better metal than Gold (which they could not aspire).

You can make up any story to fulfill your ego or pride.

The reactivity series

In a reactivity series, the most reactive element is placed at the top and the least reactive element at the bottom. More reactive metals have a greater tendency to lose electrons and form positive ions.

Copper is a base metal and Gold is a noble metal.
