A Bridge to SL

I just saw a photo-news showing a bridge built by China across Qingdao (eastern port city) to Huangdao island stretching to 42 km reported to be longest cross-sea bridge in the world. Would it not be a wonderful idea if similar bridge could be constructed between southern tip of India to SL to make “Bharathy’s” dream come true.சிங்கள தீவுனுக்கோர் பாலம் அமைப்போம்.... Of course this would be a bridge far less in length than the above but most desirable. JJ is one leader who had vowed to restore “kachchativu” to India. She can together canvas for this bridge also. I am afraid some of us could be less inclined to this idea though I do not know the reason. Nevertheless, it would be worth knowing

IMO, restoration of "kachchativu" to India would certainly be encouraged by all. This would be a very favorable/progressive move to help people in trading and travelling as tourists. Will strengthen India-Srilaka relationship politically and socially.

In Treta Yuga there was no problems constructing a bridge to Lanka cos that time
the Vanaras had no corruption and sincerely with faith preformed their duty but now in Kaliyuga we have humans who dont have worthy quality of those Vanaras..so may be a brigde to Lanka might remain a Bridge Too Far!

Why scientific community has not yet come up with "floating stone" technology with which Sri Ram had constructed the Sethu. Numerous hawkish bridge builders would be praying for the green signal to commence construction of the bridge. You know you do not require official sanctions, clearance from all and sundry if newspaper reporting of scams to be believed. However, our present day contractors are themselves wary of undertaking bridge and flyover constructions because before claiming their last payment the bridge collapses and what you see are craters as if hit by meteorites. But it could still be a reality because when Lord Kali reincarnates he might reminisce what he did in Rama Avatara. Considering the plight of numerous Tamils commuting by dangerous means, it would be a boon to come true.
