In its Anniversay Issue, Time Magazine has Featured many Asian Heroes over the last 60 Years.


Some of the notable names include Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Dalai Lama, Bruce Lee, Jinnah, Sachin Tendulkar, Mother Teresa and many more.

Interesting choice

Gandhi, Jinnah & Nehru in the same list is quite interesting........

Reading several 'Dalit' crusaders' writings, i could sense that contrary to popular belief, the SC/STs don't hold Gandhi in high esteem.....Infact one of the prominent Dalit economists...some Jadhav (recently profiled in Readers' Digest) says that his father hated the word "Harijan" coined by Gandhi.

Jinnah & Nehru is again an interesting choice. Perhaps their "individual egos" has something to do with the Indo-Pak tensions till date....
