வைதீக மாமா ஒருவர், என்னை எல்லா ருத்ர பாராயணம், கணபதி ஹோமம், ஆவாஹந்தி ஹோமம், உபநிஷத் பாராயணம் என வைதீகம் செய்யும் இடங்களுக்கு அழைத்து சென்று "நான் சொல்லும் போது புத்தகம் பார்த்து சொல்லி கொண்டே வா..." என்று சொல்லி, எவ்வாறு அக்ஷர சுத்தம் ஸ்ருதி சுத்தம் சேர்ந்து படிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் சொல்லி கொடுக்கிறார்...இது வேதம் படிக்க சரியான வழியா?

Yes, You have to learn with Book and Hearing. Important thing is Stress, Pronunciation along with correctness of words.

Okay sure. My guru will also send me the audio recording to practice at home the suktam he recited at functions. I am following that with Udatta, Anudatta, Swaritham and Dheergaswaritham.

Text book reference is also important. Sometimes Listening is different but actual wording is different. for example in Sree Suktham, there is a word called A Lakshmi (You shouldn't spell as Lakshmi).
