லெகிங்ஸ்... சரியா... தவறா?

ஒரு காலத்தில் ஐந்தரை மீட்டர் புடவை கட்டிக்கொண்டு வளையவந்த பெண்கள், 'இதுதான் சூப்பர்' என்று ஒரு கட்டத்தில் சுடிதாருக்கு மாறினார்கள். காலங்கள் உருண்டோட... 'ஆஹா... என்ன ஒரு அற்புதமான டிரெஸ்!' என்கிறபடி இப்போது 'லெகிங்ஸ்' எனும் இறுக்கமான உடையின் மீது காதல்கொள்ள ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர். டீன் ஏஜ் முதல்... நாற்பது வயதைக் கடந்தவர்கள் வரையிலும்கூட லெகிங்ஸ் அணிவது ஃபேஷனாகி இருக்கிறது. இந்நிலையில், இந்த லெகிங்ஸ் உடைக்கு எதிராக அதிருப்தி குரல்களும் ஆங்காங்கே கேட்கின்றன... நைட்டிக்கு எதிராக ஒலிப்பது போலவே!


இங்கே... 'லெகிங்ஸ் சரியா, தவறா' என்று விவாதிக்கிறார்கள் நம் பெண்கள் சிலர்.

மனீஷா (கொரியோகிராஃபர்): நாம பார்க்கிற வேலைக்கு ஏத்த மாதிரி டிரெஸ் போடுறதுல என்ன தப்பு? யோகா, விளையாட்டு, தியானம் போன்றவைகளுக்கு இந்த லெகிங்ஸ் ரொம்பத் தேவையா இருக்கு. அதனால, நான் இதுக்கு முதல் ஓட்டு போடுறேன்.


குணால், (பிசினஸ்மேன்): பெண்களுக்கான ஆடைகளிலேயே கவர்ச்சியானதுனா, அது புடவைதான். லெகிங்ஸ், வசதியான உடை என்பதை மறுக்க முடியாது. இப்போ லெகிங்ஸ் மட்டுமில்ல... ஒரு காலத்துல பெண்கள் சுடிதாருக்கு மாறினப்போவும் இப்படித்தான் 'குய்யோ முறையோ'னு கத்தின கூட்டம் இருந்துச்சு. இப்போ அது ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட உடை ஆகலையா? அதுமாதிரி லெகிங்ஸும் இனிவரும் காலங்கள்ல இயல்பான உடையாகிடும்.


சபீதா (நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்): புடவையைக் கவர்ச்சி உடைனு சொல்ற உங்களுக்கு, உடல் பாகங்களை அப்பட்டமா, ஆபாசமா காட்டக்கூடியது லெகிங்ஸ்னு தெரியலையா? வேகமா காற்றடிக்கும்போது டாப்ஸ் பறக்க ஆரம்பிச்சா... லெகிங்ஸின் கதி என்ன தெரியுமா?


ராதா (பள்ளி ஆசிரியை): ஒரு சுடிதார் செட் எடுக்க 400, 500 ரூபாயாகும். அதுக்கு தையற்கூலி தனி. ஆனா... லெகிங்ஸ், டாப்ஸ் சீப்பா முடிஞ்சுடும். மிக்ஸ் அண்ட் மேட்சாவும் போட்டுக்கலாம். அப்புறம்... தப்பா பார்ப்பாங்கனு சொல்றீங்க. அதுமாதிரியான ஆசாமிங்க... நீங்க போர்வையைப் போத்திட்டுப் போனாலும் உத்துப் பார்க்கத்தான் செய்வாங்க.


ஷமீம் (கல்லூரி மாணவி): இவ்வளவு சர்ச்சைகள் இருக்கிற உடைதான் வேணும்னு பிடிவாதம் பிடிக்காம, பட்டியாலா, காட்டன் பேன்ட்னு அடுத்த சாய்ஸ் எடுக்கலாமே..?! அதிலும் லெகிங்ஸ் நம்ம உடல்வாகுக்கு ஏற்ற உடையா இருக்காதுங்கும்போது, அதை மத்தவங்க வேண்டாம்னு சொல்றதுக்கு முன்ன நாமே ரிஜெக்ட் பண்ணலாமே?

Leggings is OK as long as the person wearing it is not plump and it is not in skin color!

Reason: It appears as though the person wears ONLY a top, if the leggings is in skin color! :dizzy:

Leggings look fine on young girls with long slim legs.. women who have not so slim legs do not look nice with leggings...but if the older woman still have nice legs than its Ok to wear it..wearing leggings with high heel shoes makes it look nicer.

Out here Muslim women wear skin tight hand coverings which cover their arms too..I usually wear those while driving when the sun is up cos it protects the arms from skin sun damage.

Leggings look nice worn on a long Kameez top which reaches much below the knee then its gives a very poised look..I have noticed that some Kameez are short and have long slits by the side and some women with huge thighs wear it and it does not look nice cos all imperfections are noted..so its best to buy a long flowing Kameez tops which covers all flaws if any.

BTW there is something called Jeggings which is a combination of leggings and jeans and Marks and Spencer in India has a very good collection..bought many of those when I went to India last year..its nice.

Marks and Spencers out here in Malaysia only has western sizes and sizes for the bigger type of woman but Marks and Spencers India has size for every body type.So I prefer shopping for Jeggings in India.
