துப்புரவுப்பணி - ஒரு சபாஷ்

நேற்று (7 டிசம்பர்) மாலை - திருவான்மியூர், அடையாறு, மந்தவெளி, நந்தனம், சி.ஐ.டி. நகர், அரங்கநாதன்சுரங்கப்பாதை, ரெட்டிக்குப்பம் சாலை, கோவிந்தன்சாலை வழியாக மேற்குமாம்பலம் வரை பயணித்தேன். மூன்று நாள்முன்பாக ஆறு அடி, ஏழு அடி தண்ணீர் பலஇடங்களையும் சூறையாடிச் சென்ற பகுதிகள் இவை. தண்ணீர்வந்துபோன சுவடே இல்லை. சாலைகள் சேதம் கடுமையே. வீடுகளின் வாசலில் மக்கள், நீரில் நனைந்து சேதமான சோபா, மெத்தை, தலையணை, மரத்தால் ஆன பழையஅலமாரிபோன்ற பொருட்களை அடுக்கி வருகிறார்கள். பொருட்களை பறிகொடுத்த மக்களின் மனநிலை, யாரின் நெஞ்சையும் உருக்கும். ஆறுதலான ஒன்று - மாநகராட்சி ஊழியர்கள் ஆற்றிய மகத்தானபணி - குப்பைகள் முற்றிலுமாக அகற்றப்பட்டுவிட்டன. துப்புரவு ஊழியர்களுக்கு மனமார்ந்த பாராட்டுகள் ! திரு. விக்ரம் கபூர், உங்களுக்கும் பாராட்டுகள் !

Yes. The sanitary workers are doing an excellent job.
All, I understand, are contract labourers; Had they been permanent employees of Corporation / Municipalities,the standard would have been different.

yes.. well said ..It is not at all an easy job. we have to appreciate the work done by them.
