Hi Sravana,

Oye Sravna...why so few options.

I personally do not 100% belief in Science or Scriptures..becos both are subject to change and also oriented to time,place and person.
I can only use both as guides and not depend fully on either.

So I could not vote cos option for me was not there.

Dear Renuka,

I included only the most common ones.

Here is a guide for voting.

1. can give me physical comforts
2. can give me mental comforts
3. can relieve me of physical pain and sufferings
4. can relieve me of mental pain.
5. can be of use to societal harmony
6. does not have undesirable effects or uses
7. the good effects are long lasting
8. Is universal i.e., anyone can learn and practice it and
9. Is timeless i.e, applicable in any era
10. has broad applications

If you say yes more for either science or spirituality, you probably believe in that more.

Pain and suffering is inevitable..science or spirituality can never relieve both.

Humans will always fight with each other..kill each other..then want peace..then fight and die again..this is nature.

For every action there is a reaction.

Dharma too declines from age to age..so how can anything be timeless?

Dear Renuka,

I started with the premise that belief in spirituality is right now high. I wanted to test that premise.

Like it or not living in a physical world will tend to complicate everything. The purpose is to help us learn to uncomplicate
 
Science is not subject to belief but understanding. That understanding can evolve over time.

Our knowledge scriptures are also not subject to belief but understanding (but with a difference from understanding of Science). Scientific facts cannot help with the understanding required here. Also the core knowledge is total and is not subject to evolution.

Therefore the assumption embedded in the poll is not applicable.

Having said this, vast majority in the world believe in their own scriptures and some believe Science like religion.
