Want to buy a house in Agraharam

We are a Brahmin family looking to buy a culturally resonating retirement house.

We prefer a house that is set in an Agraharam, or Sri Rangam island (outside the disputed zone); for instance Melur side or Thiruvanaikovil side. In the case of Sri Rangam we prefer ready to occupy Flat (2BHK) with Registration. We are not keen on off-plan projects unless completion is within August 2024.

For the other locations - Thanjavur, Mannargudi, Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur - we prefer independent house (villa).

We are investing our life savings and therefore not going for any financing. We are looking to complete the purchase before July 2024, renovate and move in before mid September 2024.
