In the present day context, honest writing is a rare quality! Almost everybody with a few exception, have a deep attachment to some belief of their own.....religious / political.
If their belief is countered in argument / debate, they tend to lose their head and thereby their honesty is put to test in defending their belief.
This is an inherent weakness seen in majority of the people; scholars are not exceptions.
