Some interesting bits of news which enraged women activists yesterday11th nov 2014

1.Aligarh Muslim Univversity vice chancellor Retd Lt general zameeruddin Shah rejected a demand from under graduate girl students to access the main library as

their presence there would attract boys.He also added if they were allowed access ,there would be "four times more boys' leading to space crunch, lol

he also added safety of women[ eve teasing and distance of 3 km between womens college and library] was also the reason

his statements created a storm calling for his removal as VC

2A jammu and Kashmir MLA Yakub shah filed a document with election commissionin which had entered ' unmarried daughters' under the head Liabilities .

Womens groups are up in arms against him.

The gentleman says that he has to incur expenses for their marriage and is justifying his statement

Kavitha a social activist says , there is an increasing attempt to bar girls from socially interacting with boys under the garb of safety.

in delhi univ in elite colleges ,girls are debarred from interacting by putting unreasonable hours for return to their hostels . college authorities claim they are

under pressure from parents to take action to protect their children and undertake some parenting tasks .Kavita says ,it is job of colleges to provide education and leave

parenting to parents, she says colleges should enable social interaction between sexes.

When I was in college in India a study was done among college students accident rate and the Department of Preventive Medicine came up with the conclusion that when a male is riding a bike alone or if his pillion rider is also a male..the accident rates were high.

Incidences of accident or speeding were less when the pillion rider was a female.

So our Head of Department told the boys of the class.."for the sake of your life..do not ride a bike alone or with another male..get a girlfriend"

Both these gentlemen forgot the golden words: "satyam apriyam na bruyath".

They made statements which were socially and politically unacceptable even though these statements may have had truth in them.

Zameeruddin should have said "When girls and boys come to the library the crowd becomes large and so we should have separate reading rooms for these boys and girls while the bookshelves can be made accessible in a central place and made accessible by boys and girls." Now that he has said what he said, his explanations won't be taken on its face value. He will have to hang as sentenced by the court of feminists.

Yakub should have listed the amount reduced to rupees-the sum total of the amount he, as the father, will have to spend in buying ornaments, dress, food for the invitees, other marriage expenses, dowry for the s-i-l, may be a car as gift to the girl, her subsequent delivery expenses whenever she gets pregnant and delivers children etc., But he committed the mistake of mentioning just the quintessence of all these expenses with just one word. Poor fellow. He has also to hang as judged by the court of feminists.

Along with these two men will hang the "yathArtham".

Both the gentlemen have been hammered to the cross for being Truthful

This is what happens if army men are appointed to such posts.

They do not realise the value of the spoken word.

Some muslim community leaders felt that their community was being unnecessarily targetted for observing the practises of segregation being observed by them

related to sexes
