As expected, Aussies won the world cup for the fifth time - 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015.Captain Clarke won the cup and retired. It is a clinical precision and high level professionalism.

The curiosity I had was who is going to hand over the trophy, since N Srinivasan was the ICC Chairman. It is ultimately Srinivasan who gave the trophy to Clarke. In 1999 world cup, Dalmia handed over the trophy to Waugh and before handing over, Waugh actually touched it.

Congratulations to the Aussie team.

Congratulations Aussee. Y have wond the Cup. curtains dropped. whoever watched NZ throughout this Cup programme must have noticed how well NZ played: top-class, first-class, like real World champion. How come they declined suddenly and lost the Cup. it is certainly really surprising. - srinivasan
