Actually it is not India it is BALI!
Every village has three public temples dedicated to the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Every house compound has a family temple, and almost every Banjār (village committee) has its own temple.
And then there are hundreds of sacred places dotted over the countryside each with its own temple. Every major hotel has a temple on its premises.
So Bali is the land of the temples.

Answer (1 of 12): Going anonymous cuz it's not the topic I ever talk and want to be related. But this looks like a fun question. It got to be India and Nepal. As 2 of the only dominant Hindu country. And in numbers, Hindus tend to have more temples for various reasons. So people in the India...
