My Ishta Devata is Swami Ayappa/Lord Muruga/Karthikeyan... Its just I always had a connection with Ayappa since my childhood from the time I was taking Vratam for Sabarimala. After I entered the School ,college Life, I was Actually withdrawn from that connection for many years. It was like I forget about all this spirtual experiances i was having during my childhood. I reclaimed that connection in 2023 and from then I am again a Bhakt of Ayappa for 2 years now. Ayappa did many Miracles in Life. I got my first client when i was praying him, Also many other things like I quit many bad habbits by his grace and still was able to maintain that and whenevr i pray him i feel better.
I read that Ishta Devatas are taken by a Believer based on the qualities. That someone who wants to be a Body Builder should choose Bajrang Bali, and like that. I heard about how Ramanujan got Messages from his ishta devata during his sleep about complex Mathematical Problems. So Is that the thing to consider while focusing on ishta devata or is there anything else that makes Someone more oriented to a particular Devata.
