Since young, I always remembered my mum cutting the green lemon into half and applying saffron to the sliced pieces. After which she will place it outside our main door. When I questioned her, she told me its for evilcast.
1. Now, I would like to know whether this is a custom conducted by we tamilians only? Is this something that has been proven that it really works?
2. Is there any standard method for performing this, as in which day, etc?
3. Is it written anywhere in the vedas about the existence of this procedure?
4. Is Evil-cast really proven? If yes, how to get rid of it?
