முழுமையாக வேதாத்யனம் செய்தவர்கள் தாங்கள் வஸிக்கும் ஊர் நகரம் கிராமம் ஆகியவற்றில் அருகிலுள்ள ஆலயத்தில் தினஸரி வேத பாராயணம் செய்ய வேண்டும், ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் அந்தந்த ஆலய நிர்வாகிகளிடம் ஒப்புதல் வாங்கி அந்த மாதம் பாராயணம் செய்ததை திருமலா திருப்பதி தேவஸ்தாநத்துக்கு தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும். அவர்கள் அதை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு வேதபாராயணம் செய்யும் நபருக்கு மாதாந்திர தொகையாக ஸுமார் பதிநாராயிரத்துக்குக் குறையாமல் அவரது வங்கீக் கணக்கில் செலுத்துவார்கள், இதன் மூலம் வேதாத்யனம் செய்தவர்கள் ஆதரிக்கபப்டுகிறரகள், மற்றும் ஆலயங்களில் வேதபாராயணம் தினஸரி நடைபெறும் என்பது இதன் பலனாகும்

லேட் இல்லை. இந்த வருடத்திற்கு நன்னிலம் ராஜகோபால கணபாடிகளை தொடர்பு கொள்ளலாம். இது வருடா வருடம் உண்டு.

With due respect, this is blatantly commercialising, cheapening and degrading true Veda-adhyayanam and paaraayanam by gruhasthaas and by brahmachaaris. My gurus never advocated this money-minded approach to our birth-imposed duties.

Rs 16,000 per month? Nearly 2 lakhs per year?

No, no, sir!

We learn the vedams by heart in order to chant them accurately FREE OF CHARGE to and at any and every Brahmin-run temple that invites us. And to any Brahmin home that does so. That is our sacred and unavoidable duty from the moment we undergo upanayanam. (If the hosts agree generously and voluntarily to meet our travelling expenses, that is a bonus. If they offer vasthram and/or bhojanam it would be impolite to refuse.) Cash or reward in kind is a no, no!

Just as performing Gayathri japam in the course of thri-kaala sandhyaa-vandanam. Just as performing dvi-kaalam samidaa-daanam or aupaasanam daily.

Over and above all that, it is ridiculous if not idiotic to ask, on 3 Jan 2019, that lucre-seeking Veda-Braahmanas should apply by Speedpost to the Assistance Executive officer, SVI Of Higher Vedic Studies, SVETA Building Chandragiri Road ,T.T.Devasthanam, Tirupathi Pin 517502, before 9 Dec 2016.

We should keep to the straight and narrow path if we are to observe our varna-aashrama-dharmam, and should not be tempted or be led aside by desire for or promises of money.

May I respectfully add that it is the duty of every brahmachaari and every gruhastha to chant brahma-yajnyam daily.

You can make this as short or as long as you like. I normally allot about an hour. About two hours on off-days and public holidays (if I am not already in temples and Brahmana homes chanting vedam).
