mother-in-law passed away on 30/12/20 in blr. varushaabdhigam scheduled for 15/16, 18-20. could someone describe what the rituals for these dates, who's required to be present besides the son & daughter-in-law?
are the grandkids from the daughter reqd to be present? 'Pitru Yagnam' book doesnt provide these details. another blog just says - same rituals as for regular yearly shraadhdham + dhaanam etc are extra for 1st anniversary.

only son and daughter-in-law presence is enough. As usual sodakumpam and masikal, oona masikam and varushaptheekam and subam will be there. on subham day udhaka shanthi and navagraha homam will be there.

for sodha kumpam you have to give as dhanam 9x5 veshti; brass sombu-1; aasana palakai-1; pancha pathira uthirini-1.
on varushaptheekam day give as thanam for 2 persons each vesti 9x5 -1; brass pot 1; panchaththira uththirini-1; aasana palakai-1; then pancha dhanam - VESHTI 9X5-1 EACH PERSON ;brass pot 1; bell-1; book-1; deepam-1; you may also give dasa dhanam; besides this you may also give bedsheet, pillow, wollen carpet, walking stick, umberellaw, chappal,

Dasa dhanam means, :- gold, silver, cow, land. rice, salt, jaggery. honey, ghee, veshti 9x5. dhanyam. with container for each and also dhakshina for each dhanam must be given.

gold pavithram . gold ring are also is a must. do it as per your financial condition.
